Arlette is passionate about achieving positive change and development in the DRC. Since graduating in law from Kinshasa’s Université Protestante au Congo in 2014 she has established herself as an independent consultant working on development projects across the country. She has focused on issues related to governance and private sector development. She worked on a review of national-level Public Financial Management reforms which in turn influenced how donors target their multi-million-dollar support to overcome barriers to progress; and has supported successive reviews and evaluations guiding the implementation of the country’s largest Business Environment Reform programme. Her work contributed to her being awarded the Mandela Washington Fellowship for young African leaders in 2018 funded by the American State Department.
