Kapil has a bachelor’s degree in Metallurgical Engineering and Materials Science from the Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay. He spent three years with Procter and Gamble before moving in to environmental conservation on a Young India Fellowship at Ashoka University followed by three years working on waste management policy and implementation in remote parts of India where he encountered the social problems of oppression in the form of caste, class, gender in Indian society. As a feminist-environmentalist, Kapil sees himself working towards integrating issues of environmental justice and biodiversity conservation in the future.
