Scherezade has a master’s degree in Accounting and Finance as well as a MS in Teaching and Curriculum Design from Syracuse University, where she was a Fulbright Scholar. Scherezade has ten years work experience in the field of education, starting from a middle school English teacher to heading the School Improvement and Professional Development department at one of the biggest school networks in Pakistan. In this role, she has been in charge of developing policies and structures for approximately two hundred schools all over Pakistan. She has also collaborated with Kashf, a Microfinance organisation in Pakistan, to develop training for teachers and school heads of 900 schools for underprivileged children. She strongly believes that the solutions for numerous problems faced by her country can be resolved by ensuring quality education is available for all and the gap between policy formulation and policy implementation in public sector is minimised.
