 About WHT

The Weidenfeld-Hoffmann Trust (WHT) is home to a scholarships and Leadership Programme at the University of Oxford. Each year WHT awards approximately 35 fully funded scholarships to graduates and early career professionals exclusively from developing and emerging economies to pursue one-year master’s level courses. The scholarships are among the most prestigious at the University and make up the largest philanthropic scholarship supported by the University.

 Our Scholars

They will join the 412 alums from 94 countries who have benefited from WHT support since 2007 to tackle major problems in their countries and regions of origin or from within multilateral organisations.

 Our Leadership Programme

This unique programme is made up of 3 key strands – building a foundation for ethical leadership (moral philosophy seminar series), developing an entrepreneurial understanding (Business Challenge), and creating a toolkit for professional excellence, (impactful communication, negotiation and debating skills) alongside cross-cultural bonding activities to form a community of support for scholars to thrive during their time at Oxford and sustain a lasting global network.
