Weidenfeld-Hoffmann Trust / Scholarships & Leadership Programme / Current Scholars / Core requirements

Core requirements

All Scholars must take part in the following activities unless you have a conflicting mandatory course commitment and have received official exemption from the Academic Director:

Induction & Moral Philosophy for Leaders Seminar (23 - 27 September 2016, in Oxford)

› Practical Skills Workshop (December 2016): First year scholars only (unless continuing scholars missed the session during their first year).

› Leadership Forum (June 2017, in Oxford)

› Other compulsory lectures or events: These are confirmed throughout the year.

During the year, Scholars must also attend three formal supervision meetings (‘Collections’) with the Academic Director and the Dean of Studies. Collections for the 2016-17 academic year are scheduled to take place on 2 & 3 November 2016 and 15 & 16 February 2017. Please keep these days free, as you will be allocated a half hour time slot on one of them.

Pro Bono Work

First-year Weidenfeld Scholars are also required to undertake a pro-bono project to be agreed with the Dean of Studies during the Michaelmas Term. Click for full guidelines on pro-bono work.
