Ayushi completed her B.A. LL.B. (Hons.) at National Law School,
Bangalore, India, where she was the Chief Editor of Indian Journal of
International Economic Law and Editor of Socio-Legal Review. Her academic interest
lies in human rights law, constitutional law and criminal law; and she is committed
to the cause of gender equality. She founded her University’s feminist alliance and
participated in a student-initiative to amend her University’s Code to Combat Sexual

Ayushi has also worked under Justice DY Chandrachud and Senior Advocate Indira
Jaising on constitutional matters in the Indian Supreme Court. In the future, she wishes
to be instrumental in eradicating gender-unjust practices in her country through legal
