Pashtoon currently works as GoodWeave’s Afghanistan Country Director. Prior to joining GoodWeave, he served on a variety of humanitarian projects with international organisations such as the United Nations Development Programme
and USAID. With USAID, he worked to promote stabilization and good governance in Afghanistan.

Pashtoon managed projects focused on water and sanitation, education and support for internally displaced people, and the reintegration of ex-combatants. In addition, he has consulted for NATO, briefing participants in its pre-deployment trainings about Afghani culture and society. Pashtoon holds a bachelor’s degree in International Relations from Tufts University.
