Jing Wei is currently the Country Officer (Malaysia and Brunei), for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Republic of Singapore. He has a BA (Hons) in Philosophy, Politics and Economics from the National University of Singapore. His interest lies in the domain of international security, with his research focusing on geopolitical tensions in Southeast Asia, domestic insurgency movements in Indonesia, and defence industries in East Asia. Before coming to Oxford he had various internships at public and private agencies, including at the International Affairs Division within the Ministry of Communications and Information of Singapore. Jing has also conducted research on welfare policies in Singapore to better understand socioeconomic conditions in his country.
