Juliana Santos Oliveira

Juliana is an economist from Brazil working at the intersection of capital markets and climate action. Her career has taken her from economic research on inequality, through strategy consulting and capital markets regulation, to advising companies and philanthropists on structuring investment for social and environmental impact. Her Master’s research tackles a central question in climate finance: how to design blended finance structures that genuinely attract private capital into forest conservation in emerging markets. She has also applied her analytical skills to climate risk in financial markets, including modelling how climate risk moves through a national banking system. She is building a career mobilising and engaging private capital towards a nature-positive, low-carbon economy.
