Mariana De Lucio Perez

Mariana is a Mexican legal and public policy professional from the National Autonomous University of Mexico (UNAM). A dedicated advocate for human rights, gender equality, and the rule of law, she has built a career spanning litigation, public policy, and legislative work across Mexico’s most prominent institutions. Following her studies at Oxford, Mariana served as Technical Secretary at the Federal Judiciary, where she focused on disciplinary proceedings and gender violence prevention initiatives. She currently works as a Legislative Advisor in the Mexican Senate, leading work on Constitutional Affairs, Gender Equality, Health, Digital Rights, and Public Security. A prolific writer, she regularly publishes opinion pieces in El Universal and Animal Político on democracy, gender, and the rule of law.
