Michal Strahilevitz-Ben Eliezer

Michal works for an INGO called IsraAID, which focuses on supporting communities affected by disaster in response and recovery, along with supporting them in strengthening their resilience for long-term resilience and development. She currently oversees all of the organisation’s ongoing long-term missions globally.

Over the years Michal has worked in countries such as Mexico, Sri Lanka, Kyrgyzstan, Myanmar, as well as, her home country of Israel. Michal has led a wide range of projects in areas such as economic development, livelihoods, women empowerment, community development and resilience, DRR, capacity building and peace-building.

Prior to her role at IsraAID, she held worked for the International Labor Organization (ILO) supporting the development of industry-wide initiatives that aim at promoting responsible business practices while improving labour standards and several country director positions for INGOs. Michal holds a BBA in Business Administration (ESGCI-Paris), an MA in International Development Studies (University of Amsterdam) and an MSt in Human Rights Law (Oxford University).

Michal is based in Israel.
