For a decade Soumaya has run governance and operations where the margin for error is thin: advising a British Ambassador on crisis preparedness in Tunisia, analyzing terrorist mobilization for a UN Special Representative in the Horn of Africa, briefing senior Meta leadership across EMEA and North America on fast-moving policy edge cases, and co-founding the watchdog that became Tunisia’s anti-corruption reference point. She is now focused on existential risk, with particular attention to AI-enabled biological threats. She is a Chevening alumna with BA in English Literature from the Higher Institute of Languages of Tunis and MA in Security Studies from the University of Birmingham.
