After graduating from MKCG Medical College, Odisha, in India, Priyadarshini worked as a specialist registrar in Obstetrics and Gynaecology where she addressed women’s health issues at all stages of life. She has been actively involved in numerous clinical trials and research recognised on national and international platforms, including the prestigious Tamaskar Research Award by the Federation of Obstetrics and Gynaecological Society of India. Priyadarshini, believes that for a significant change in maternal mortality, preventable causes need to be identified and the focus shifted to a population-centred approach which is uncommon in medical practice in India. She intends to focus her career on developing a broad, preventative policy that benefits substantially larger populations.
