Angel is an engineering professional from Mexico with a strong background in power and gas markets, complemented by a bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering. Recognising the complexities involved in analysing data within the Mexican power market, he developed Mexico's first free, non-governmental web portal with advanced capabilities. Over the past two years, Angel has played an integral role in a power utility, actively contributing to the operations and business intelligence department. His expertise in power market operations and dynamics has been honed through a dedicated focus in this field.
Driven by a deep passion to address the challenges posed by climate change in electricity systems and markets, Angel has chosen to pursue a Master of Science degree in Energy Systems at the University of Oxford. He envisions assuming a leadership position in energy modelling and analysis within Mexico, spearheading the implementation of sustainable and equitable solutions in the energy sector.
