Djeyhorn is currently the Deputy Head of Political Affairs Division of the Netherlands Permanent Mission to the United Nations. 

Djeyhoun was a Senior Fellow of Humanity in Action (HIA) and Vice-chairman of HIA Senior Fellow Network Netherlands (2013-2014). He was also a board member of Freedomhouse-Art, which is a new international network for arts and human rights education. Djeyhoun has volunteered for The Netherlands Refugee Council and interned at the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime in Kabul, at the Embassy and Mission of Afghanistan in Brussels and at the Faculty for Israeli-Palestinian Peace in Jerusalem.

Djeyhoun has a PhD at the War Studies Department of King’s College London, and his research was on the dilemma of peace and justice in Afghanistan and Bosnia and Herzegovina.
