After graduating with an MPhil in Development Studies at the University of Oxford, Elie relocated to Liberia in the aftermath of the Ebola epidemic. There, he liaised between senior Liberian government officials and investors to promote an affordable housing initiative in Monrovia.

Through his work on housing in Liberia, Elie took up a position in Ghana with Vital Capital Fund, an impact investment group that undertakes large-scale projects in health, housing, agriculture and renewable energy in Sub-Saharan Africa. As the Fund’s representative in Ghana, Elie contributed to and initiated several projects, including designing a nationwide agricultural infrastructure rehabilitation project to mitigate post-harvest losses with the Ministry of Agriculture and promoting a fund to support SMEs with the Ministry of Trade. Presently, Elie manages The Fund’s joint-venture initiative with the Ashanti King HM Otumfuo Nana Osei Tutu II, developing a central residential project in the city of Kumasi in southern Ghana. This project will house 500 Ghanaian families and will provide clean water, modern sewage facilities and roads to the community.

Elie is currently based in Israel.
