Gizem graduated from TOBB University of Economics and Technology as a Dux Litterarum of her department majoring in International Relations. She has been working for the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey (TOBB), the umbrella organization of Turkish private sector since 2011.
In 2015, Turkey was the host country of G20. During the term, Gizem was the Project Coordinator of Trade Taskforce in B20 Turkey, an outreach group of G20, and worked under B20 Chair and B20 Sherpa. During that time, she had the chance to interact with the members of global business community, plenty of NGOs and officials from G20 countries.
Having a passion for diplomatic history, Gizem aspires to excel in diplomatic studies. After completing her studies at Oxford, she would like to contribute to the foreign affairs and political life of her country.
