Jeffrey A. Wright is a DPhil Candidate in International Relations at Nuffield College, Oxford, and Senior Policy Advisor to the Sustainable Rice Platform, a multi-stakeholder organization convened by the UN Environment Programme, where he provides strategic guidance on governance designs to improve organizational effectiveness around climate change mitigation.

Jeffrey’s research agenda focuses on the relationship between representation and performance in
intergovernmental organizations, utilizing the largest original dataset on IGOs in existence. Recently he has held positions as Visiting Fellow at Northwestern University; Lecturer in International Relations at Worcester College, Oxford; and Quantitative Methods Scholar, also at Oxford.

Prior to his doctoral studies, Jeffrey served as research associate at the Council on Foreign Relations, directly advising heads of health and medicines agencies from eleven countries and the European Union on the design of a new trans-governmental network, receiving commendation from the U.S. government for his contributions to the safety and security of the global supply of medicines. He was also a Truman-Albright Fellow in the Office of Planning, Research, and Evaluation at the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, where he contributed analysis to national demonstrations and evaluations designed to promote economic mobility among vulnerable populations.

Jeffrey holds an MPhil in International Relations from Balliol College, Oxford, as a Weidenfeld Scholar, and a BA in Political Science and International Studies from the University of Wisconsin–Madison, where he was a Harry S. Truman Scholar and graduated with Comprehensive Honors, the university's highest degree.
