Jordan recently graduated from NYU Abu Dhabi with a BA in Economics. He has a passion for leading scholarship in developing countries, serving as an economics researcher at the Caribbean Policy Research Institute in Jamaica, the African Private Equity and Venture Capital Association in the UK and as a field researcher in Uganda. His research surrounds understanding gender differences in intra-household bargaining in developing countries and its potential implications on outcomes such as child education and health. He is also a champion for education and inclusivity, serving as a mentor to at-risk youth in local communities in Kingston and was one of three Inclusive Mindset Ambassadors at the Special Olympics 2023 in Berlin.
Jordan strives after Oxford to help develop a robust research ecosystem in Jamaica and the wider Caribbean. He aims to integrate insights from Behavioural and Development Economics to assist regional governments in formulating effective, human-centred economic policies.
