Originally from a rural area of Kazakhstan, Marina is passionate about women’s rights and development in rural areas. She has just graduated with a BSc in Economics from Minerva University in the United States, where in 4 years, she has lived, studied, worked and engaged with local communities in the US, South Korea, Denmark, Germany, the UK, and Argentina. Passionate about DE&I, she joined the United Nations Office for Project Services in Denmark as a sophomore, and later Tesla in the US as a junior, while volunteering at projects like IQanat in Kazakhstan, where she mentors students from rural areas and Feminita, which advocates for women in Kazakhstan. Her thesis evaluated the impact of an education policy in Kazakhstan using several quantitative methods, and she intends to continue her work in impact evaluation to ensure the policy is informed by scientific evidence.
