Matías comes to Oxford with over five years of experience working in policymaking.

He has currently worked as a Consultant at the International Rescue Committee, on an EdTech project leveraging behavioural science and technology to improve learning outcomes in Colombia. Having largely worked in the public sector so far, Matías is currently looking to work on corporate strategy at a leading consulting firm.

Prior to this, Matías served as a policy advisor at the New Zealand Embassy in Buenos Aires, where he leads the Embassy’s fund promoting high-impact development initiatives. Formerly a member of Argentina’s Secretariat of Strategic Affairs (President’s Office), Matías worked at the intersection of foreign policy and security for over three years. In that role, he co-drafted major government policies on national security.

A graduate of Torcuato Di Tella University with a BA in International Studies, Matías has taught undergraduate courses at his alma mater and Belgrano University. He has received several awards, including Chevening and Fulbright scholarships. Coming from a deeply polarised society, Matias intends to mobilise broad coalitions with a view to forging public policies that work for the majority.

Matías is currently based out of London and Oxford, UK.
