Olatunji is a Senior Climate Change Specialist within the Global Practice Directorate of the Islamic Development Bank Group. He is responsible for implementing the Bank’s climate change strategy in financed operations and investment portfolios. In this role, he supports the Bank’s 57 member countries to implement their low carbon and climate resilient development plans as well as transition to green economy. He leads the Bank’s engagement in the Joint Multilateral Development Banks (jMDB) climate change working groups on mitigation, climate finance reporting and Paris Alignment.

In his development practice, he co-led and contributed to the preparation, design and implementation of over 25 development projects and programs across Africa, Asia, Eastern Europe, Middle East & North Africa and South America in agriculture, energy, health, urban development, transportation, water and sanitation sectors. Previously, he served as a project and program evaluator for development interventions, programs and country strategies financed and implemented by the Bank. He was formerly an advisor with KPMG Advisory Services.

He holds degrees from the Environmental Change Institute at Oxford University, United Kingdom and University of Lagos, Nigeria. He had executive training on climate change and energy at Harvard Kennedy School, United States of America.
