Taha holds a Bachelor of Science (Honors) joint degree in Economics and Mathematics. His research work included studying the impact of COVID-19 lockdowns on air pollutant levels in India and examining the irrigation efficiency paradox in Punjab, Pakistan. During the pandemic, Taha worked with the provincial government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Pakistan to ensure the successful administration of COVID-19 vaccines for over 35 million people. By closely monitoring COVID-19 heatmaps and employing data-automation tools, he assisted in the data-driven decision-making process that maximised the utilisation rate. In 2022, Taha was awarded the Ernst Mach Scholarship by the OeAD (Agency for Education and Internationalisation) in Austria. Through this exchange, he established an international network of like-minded students aspiring to work for the betterment of society.
During his time at Oxford and later as well, Taha aims to tackle the intricate socio-economic challenges that contribute to the vulnerability of Pakistan's and other developing nations' economies.
