​Vaishali grew up in the United States but returned to India to work in the development sector. She has largely worked with social enterprises in the energy, livelihoods and entrepreneurship space. Her academic experience focused on building sustainable business models to address social challenges.

She has a BA in History and Political Science from the University of Oregon and a MA in Social Entrepreneurship from the Tata Institute of Social Sciences, Mumbai. She has since worked in the Netherlands and is currently a Climate Expert for ABN AMRO Bank N.V. driving the bank’s net-zero strategy, focused on industry decarbonisation and inclusion of climate-related and environmental risks in the bank’s business strategy.

Vaishali is currently based in Amsterdam, Netherlands.
