Quratulain Fatima (Pakistan, MPP, Louis Dreyfus, 2016) has published a new article on creating safe spaces for women. Quratulain draws upon her time as City Administrator of Rawalpindi to demonstrate the particular experiences of women in accessing public space. Quratualain writes that “I saw first-hand how providing safe spaces for women does not have to be costly, it just has to be strategic. Even a single street light can reduce violence against women in public spaces”. Published in the Daily Times you can read the full article here.
