Abigail Tevera is a Zimbabwean groomed “Civil Engineering Professional” and “Development Practitioner” who has had the opportunity to contribute in some measure to water resources management in her home country and other countries such as Liberia in West Africa and Yemen in the Middle East. She has substantial experience in civil engineering and, for the past ten years, has worked as a project manager on Water, Sanitation and Hygiene projects with the NGO Action Contre la Faim. Working as a technical expert, she has participated in design and construction services for new works and the operation and maintenance of water supply facilities particularly community-owned water supply systems, particularly in rural areas and the promotion of health and hygiene. In her spare time, Abigail has been a committed fundraiser for the Methodist Church in Zimbabwe, and has also volunteered gully reclamation activities that were carried out in her rural home area in Zimuto.
Abigail finished her MSc in Water Science Policy and Management in 2017. Currently, she is working as a WASH Specialist at UNICEF, Solomon Islands, providing technical, operational, and administrative assistance throughout the WASH programming process including the preparation, management, and implementation of tasks related to the development, implementation, monitoring and evaluation of the country programme WASH output results. She is an experienced Officer with a demonstrated history of working in the non-profit organization management industry.
