Aileen has six years of experience working in economic research, investor relations and finance in both government and the private sector--from a tech start-up to an international financial institution.
At the Ministry of Finance in Mexico, her team played a key role in investor relations management during the oil price decline in 2014, and the Mexican peso depreciation in 2016. Her position at the Ministry required close interaction with foreign and domestic investors, creditors, analysts, rating agencies, and international institutions (IMF, OECD, G20). Aileen became the first female Director in the Macroeconomic Research Department at the Ministry.
At the University of Oxford, she pursued an MBA and is currently studying for a Masters in International Development at the University of Chicago, focusing on Data Analytics. She is an Innovation Fund Associate at the University of Chicago that funds early-stage groundbreaking ventures and technologies at the UChicago ecosystem.
