Deepta is currently Research and Impact Manager at Tender UK, working to prevent domestic abuse and sexual violence in the lives of children, young people and adults.

Prior to this, she was a Senior Associate at Deshpande Foundation where she develops and manages the academic and quality functions of Skill in Village, the Foundation’s flagship K-12 education program. She is also the Head of the Child Protection Committee and a member of the Women Empowerment Council. Deepta is interested in the intersection of social research and practice and how it creates relevant, sustainable, and scalable solutions for social impact. She holds an integrated Master's in Development Studies from the Indian Institute of Technology Madras.

She is based in Oxford, UK.
