Following the completion of her DPhil focusing on international post-conflict reconstruction and development at Oxford, Diloro returned to work with the United Nations and undertook assignments in UN preventive diplomacy, human rights, strategic planning and programme management in Asia, Africa, and the Middle East.

In addition to her DPhil in Politics, Diloro holds a BA in International Economic Relations from the Institute of Entrepreneurship and Public Service in Dushanbe, Tajikistan, and an MPA from the Lyndon B. Johnson School of Public Affairs at the University of Texas at Austin. She is currently the Prevention and Peace-building Advisor at the Policy and Programme Branch of the United Nations Development Coordination Office (DCO) HQs in New York, which provides policy and operational support to the global United Nations Resident Coordinator System.
