Farai Mzungu is the co-founder and COO of Youth Health Africa, a youth development organisation tackling youth unemployment and public health challenges. Farai has a bachelor's degree in Law which she obtained at the University of the Free State, South Africa. She is a 2022 Mail and Guardian Top 200 young people in South Africa. In 2020-21, Farai was a global focal point for SDG5 at UNMGCY. During the COVID-19 pandemic, Farai led a programme aiming to address vaccine hesitancy, reduce misinformation and increase vaccine uptake. Farai also led a project as one of three Community-Based Organisations investigating the impact of COVID-19 on women and girls living with HIV. Farai has co-authored 3 research publications in the healthcare space.
