Ammu is a young professional from India with a master’s degree in Development Studies from the Indian Institute of Technology, Madras (IIT-M). She works as a Programme Manager at Naandi Foundation, one of India’s largest social sector organizations and largest CSR implementing partner. She has worked closely with tribal farmers in Araku valley in south-eastern India on sustainable coffee cultivation and has coordinated reforestation efforts across the valley to restore degrading village landscapes. She currently leads Naandi’s skill-development programme in regenerative agriculture for underprivileged women across the country. Ammu is interested in understanding how communities, organizations, and governments around the world can be effectively integrated into conservation and restoration efforts to become active partners in climate action.
