Jing has recently completed his BA (Hons) in Philosophy, Politics and Economics from the National University of Singapore. His interest lies in the domain of international security, with his research focusing on geopolitical tensions in Southeast Asia, domestic insurgency movements in Indonesia, and defence industries in East Asia. He has had various internships at public and private agencies, with his most recent stint being at the International Affairs Division within the Ministry of Communications and Information of Singapore. Jing has also conducted research on welfare policies in Singapore to better understand socioeconomic conditions in his country. He will be joining the Singapore Civil Service upon his return and seeks to be involved in multilateral efforts to solve issues of insecurity driven by the current state of geopolitical instability.
