Lydia is a Technical Advisor, for GIZ NatuReS, where she works on stewardship’s contribution to water-secure and economic resilient cities most recently on The Greater Kampala Water Security Action and Investment Plan.
Lydia holds a first class honours degree in Environmental Science from Makerere University (2009) and a Masters in Integrated Water Resources Management from the University of Dar es Salaam, Tanzania (2011).
Over the years, she has worked with Healthy Child Uganda, Mbarara University of Science and Technology, the Nile Basin Capacity Building Network, and Water Resources and Energy Management International Inc. As a prospective water resources planner, Lydia has made a significant contribution to several water and environment studies including the assessment of impact evaluation tools and decision support systems for the Nile Basin, and the USAID/Uganda community connector (Feed The Future) baseline study, all of which have been well received. However her greatest achievement so far was when she worked as Assistant Project Manager of the Lake Rukwa Basin integrated water resources management and development project.
Lydia’s ultimate goal is to become an all-round water resources planner capable of providing sustainable solutions to complex water resources planning and management problems facing Africa and the world at large.
