Natasha completed her BA in Psychology at NYU, Abu Dhabi. She trained in journalism while working with indigenous and immigrant communities of Australia, explored advocacy-oriented film and new media in the Arab world, and worked with Aga Khan Foundation in Mombasa, Kenya in the “back to school for out-of-school children” project. Her research focus is on equitable access to quality education for children of single and undocumented parents. She is currently working with Ashinaga, a Japan-based I-NGO that supports orphaned scholars from Africa to access tertiary education.

Natasha recently recieved citizenship of Uganda. Her own lived experiences as a stateless person in Kenya has motivated her interest in understanding barriers to obtaining documentation for displaced and former displaced persons. She plans to drive inclusion in policy and practice for marginalized communities, particularly educational access from early childhood in East Africa and beyond.
