Nathawat Traisiwakul is a diplomat at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Thailand with a wealth of experience in multilateral and bilateral diplomacy. He has worked at the Department of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) Affairs as a Desk Officer for the East Asia Summit and ASEAN-China Dialogue Relations. He has also participated in the negotiations on the ASEAN-China Code of Conduct in the South China Sea.
Prior to this, Nathawat served as a Political Officer at the Royal Thai Embassy in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. He also worked as a Desk Officer for Malaysia and Indonesia at the Department of East Asian Affairs, where he was responsible for enhancing Thailand’s relations with these neighbouring countries, focusing on border security and connectivity. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in International Relations from Chulalongkorn University in Bangkok, Thailand.
