After gaining a Bachelor of Engineering from the University of Damascus in 2008, Nizar completed an MSc in Computer Science as a Weidenfeld Scholar.
From 2009 to 2010 he worked as an Artificial Intelligence Specialist at the Diabetes Centre of King Saud University, Saudi Arabia, which is the largest diabetes research centre in the Middle East. Whilst there, he developed AI systems and worked on improving the Diabetes National Registry, developing methods to determine prevailing types of diabetes and creating a longitudinal analysis system to account for complications likely to be faced by patients in the next 10 years.
Nizar now works for Rippling, as a Senior Staff Software Engineer in San Francisco.
