Veronika is specialised in humanitarian aid and refugee issues. She has a BA in Political Science from the University of Tartu, a Master’s in Humanitarian Aid Management from the University of Paris XII and as a Weidenfeld Scholar gained an MSc in Forced Migration from Oxford.

Since graduating, Veronika has worked in the DRC for the International Committee of the Red Cross overseeing the Economic Security Department. Following that, she became Internal Displacement Protection Advisor at the ICRC Headquarters. She also worked for the ICMC-UNHCR Resettlement Deployment Scheme prior to starting working for UNOPS. Besides her work, she has completed a PhD in Migration Studies at the University of Sussex.

Currently, she is the Forced Displacement Senior Advisor for UNOPS in Geneva, Switzerland.
