Vignesh is a wildlife researcher with a focus on ecology, biodiversity technologies and conservation. He has a background in Environmental Engineering, and he is committed to the cause of biodiversity conservation.

He previously worked as a research fellow at Gubbi Labs, an Indian research organisation, on multiple research and conservation projects with the government, academic and private sectors. He completed his MSc in Biodiversity, Conservation and Management at the University of Oxford in 2020 during which he was the Environmental Ambassador of Kellogg College. His current research focus is on transboundary conservation in Asia.

Since my course completion at Oxford, I have been working on publishing some of my research (in scientific journals) which could have implications for conservation. Two of these projects involve transboundary conservation in Asia and were an outcome of my dissertation research during my MSc in Biodiveristy, Conservation and Management at the University of Oxford. I am also working on a couple of publications on some endemic species of flora and fauna of India. My experience at Oxford and WHT helped me gain the skills and networks needed to work on these research projects.
