Chris secures consultation role at Vida Care

Thanks to support for the WHT from Robin and Rupert Hambro, alumnus Chris Mathew (South Africa, Louis Dreyfus-Weidenfeld-Hoffmann and Saïd, MBA, 2017) had the opportunity to undertake an internship with London-based start-up Vida Care – part of Hambro Perks. Chris has since secured a job as a Healthcare and Operations Consultant at Vida Care. Vida Care is a “tech start-up”, says Chris, that operates in the social care space. The company was founded in early 2016 by two young entrepreneurs based in the UK looking to disrupt the home care industry. Chris’ goal for the internship was to support the company to “transform and redefine the care industry in the UK”. Chris was successful in working with Vida Care to overcome various challenges including defining quality of care, developing an ethos for the organisation’s discreet interest in the care industry and measuring outcomes. At the end of the internship, Vida Care co-founder Naushard Jabir was so impressed with Chris he offered Chris an opportunity to work full-time at Vida Care. According to Chris, “the only problem was that he had asked me to dictate the rate!”
