Shaharzad at the young leaders' conference in Italy

Shaharzaed Akbar (Afghanistan, MPhil Development Studies, Hoffmann, 2011) who was the first woman graduate from Afghanistan to pursue a graduate degree at Oxford, continues to trailblaze professionally and through her sustained engagement with the Weidenfeld-Hoffmann Trust.

Shaharzad was recently nominated by the Trust to attend the Young Leaders' Conference in Italy. After a competitive round of interviews, Shaharzad was selected by the Council to join other delegates atthe Conference on Identity and Development later this year.
