Paige joins American Civil Liberty Union
Paige Fernandez (USA, MPP, Oxford-Weidenfeld and Hoffmann) Paige’s studies focus on the intersection of race, justice, mass incarceration and education. She is particularly interested in the criminal justice and educational policies that perpetuate inequality and marginalisation of people of colour in the USA. Paige will soon be starting a full-time position as the American Civil Liberty Union’s Policing Policy Adviser in their National Political Advocacy Department. Paige’s responsibilities will include developing and leading nationwide advocacy around police practices; providing support and advice to ACLU affiliates on policing issues; and piloting models in targeted states that represent best practices in policing.
