Hanna has lived in the United States, Croatia, Kenya, and Austria and is fascinated by the development of individualism, collectivism, and their effect on states’ collective histories, and consequently, policy choices.
She started her career as a financial analyst at Bank of America Merrill Lynch in New York City, working with municipalities and hospital systems to issue debt financing for US infrastructure projects before moving to the Turner-Agassi Charter School Facilities Fund, a real estate private equity firm making investments in underserved communities while at the same time campaigning for a progressive, grassroots candidate for the Los Angeles Unified School Board and remains passionate about the role and relationship between poverty and education, particularly in The United States. She looks forward to exploring the role of government in the modern welfare state and importantly plans to explore the future of social systems, social capital, and how individuals can be incentivised to act for a collective good.
Hanna is currently the Director of Corporate Development at Providence, a not-for-profit health system. She is based in LA, USA.
