Yuliya has had a long-term interest in child development and education. She is an Academic Assistant, Head of Primary School and Preschool Project Manager.

Before coming to Oxford, she was an ESL teacher, trying to find innovative methods and approaches to help her students reach their full potential. She was also involved with NGOs that helped disadvantaged children become valuable members of society.

Now, as an Oxford Alumna, she has the opportunity to make decisions about education in one of the best schools in Almaty. This school is an experimental field for teaching practices and therefore, offers her an opportunity to continue her research and share the best practices with other teachers by coaching them.

My experience at Oxford and WHT in particular helped my me build professional and leadership skills that are now at the core of my success. As one of very few members in the sphere of Education who stayed in Kazakhstan I bring value as a competent leader to guide change in the sphere of Education, as my school is aiming to be the role-model school in Kazakhstan.
